A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL….
Welcome to the website of St. Mary of the
Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Konicki A HISTORY OF OUR SCHOOL…. Saint Mary of the Assumption School has a long history of success and merit dating back to the fall of 1952 when four Ursuline nuns arrived and took residence in the then newly remodeled convent to teach to both the community and school's students. Since then, our school has grown in both size and population to include over forty staff members along with over 500 students. Saint Mary of the Assumption School facilitates a wide range of learning for students between the ages of pre-school through eighth grade, along with a state of the art science lab, computer lab, library, and gymnasium (click the links to view photos of each). Our students also gain a strong introduction to Spanish, art, band, and computer skills, along with partaking in the school play, CYO sports, and multiple clubs. Weekly mass helps to strengthen the students' bond with God along with daily religion class and frequent interaction with our on-site priests and deacons (to view a complete list of all priests and deacons that have served Saint Mary's through history, click here). Saint Mary of the Assumption School has stood for over fifty years as model of excellence and virtue to the children of Northeast Ohio. While celebrating the 150th anniversary of our church parish, we ask you to take the opportunity to visit our school and explore what we bring to our school family along with reviewing the top-ten reasons why your student should attend Saint Mary of the Assumption School. As our school motto states, "Hand in hand, together we are one in Christ." Please select from the appropriate links below: |
