Adopt-A-Student Financial Aid for 2008-2009

(Deadline March 1, 2008)

In order to be considered for either Diocesan tuition assistance or our school’s tuition assistance, you must fill out a PSAS application for your family. There will only be two deadlines in which to submit your PSAS form for consideration. They are:

March 1, 2008 (Adopt-A-Student deadline)

June 1, 2008 (Diocesan assistance only)

The PSAS form is available in the school office and the church rectory. You may also download and print the form from our school website or apply online at the PSAS website at https://www.psas.org/onlineapp.aspx. Please note you will need to know our school code which is 4228. If you need assistance in completing the PSAS form or have any further questions please call Carol Lorek at 440.951.8829.

St. Mary of the Assumption parishioners who are interested in applying for Adopt-A-Student Aid must also fill out an Adopt-A-Student application in addition to the PSAS form. These forms are available in the rectory and school office. To be considered for Adopt-A-Student aid you must have completed your Parent Involvement Hours sold your family’s quota of Tuition Raffle tickets (3 tickets per student) and have purchased the required amount of shopping certificates from the Parish Certificate Program ($4,000 per family). If these requirements are not met your application will be rejected.

The Diocese of Cleveland also offers financial aid to all students attending a Catholic school through the Catholic Education Endowment Trust (CEET).

Applications from PSAS are automatically sent to the Diocese for consideration of these funds and no further applications are necessary.

There are also special grants available through the Diocese of Cleveland. For more information contact www.dioceseofcleveland.org/education.

Please consider participating in the Certificate Program offered through our Church and School. Tuition credits are awarded based on certificates purchased (groceries, gas, restaurants, etc.) Information comes home periodically through the school. This is a great way to lower your tuition bill by purchasing things you need. Participation in this program is mandatory for Adopt A Student Aid.
