In the fourth and fifth grade we implement a 3 strike policy. Each homeroom has a binder that will follow them to each class they go to. Strikes can be given for inappropriate behavior, forgetting materials, uniform infractions or not having a homework assignment. They will be documented in the binder if given. However, each month each child starts clean with NO strikes unless they have homework strikes. Homework strikes start fresh each quarter. Each quarter, each child is given a "freebie" of one forgotten homework. A second forgotten homework will receive a demerit and each one after. Demerits are a form of communication and are utilized so you as parents know that your child forgot homework. Also, if a child receives three conduct/behavior strikes in a month, a demerit will be issued as well.

A note will be sent home each month letting you know how many strikes your child received that month. If they received no strikes, there will be a reward and your child will be a superstar for that month. Please sign and return that paper the next day.
