My husband Win and I came to Mentor in 1951 and have been married for 58 years. We have six children and eight grandchildren. All of our children attended St. Mary of the Assumption School.

After my last child went to school I volunteered at St. Mary School as a teacher’s aide in the primary level and in the library. I spent many years working at various levels with The Ladies Guild. At that time The Ladies Guild had a School Committee before the PTU was founded. I joined St. Mary of the Assumption School staff as librarian in 1976.

I retired as librarian in June 2004. Currently I have a part-time position to continue maintaining St. Mary School’s a database, an additional job I had while I was librarian.
