Welcome to Kindergarten. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Heather Schumaker and I will be teaching Kindergarten this year. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education, a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and am certified K-12 gifted. I am also working towards reading certification. I live in Chardon with my husband and three boys ages 8, 10 and 12 and one 4 legged friend. I have been teaching for 14 years and have had the opportunity to teach a variety of different grades and subjects but find Kindergarten to be the most rewarding and the most fun. In between running my children to their different activities, I enjoy playing the piano for my church’s worship band, reading, baseball and the great outdoors.
