Welcome to St. Mary of the Assumption
Spanish Website
                                        Teacher:  Mrs. Zawilinski
Bienvenido!  I look forward to a wonderful year with our new text and workbooks from the “Viva el espanol” program.  This is a highly comprehensive program used by many other Catholic Schools in our area.  I will continue to play fun games and sing new songs all in Spanish.

MY objectives for the Spanish program are as follow:
·         To prepare students for High School Spanish.
·         To teach Spanish vocabulary, grammar, and expressions.
·         To engage students in Spanish conversation.
·         To celebrate differences in GOD’s people by teaching about Spanish culture.
·         To praise OUR LORD with songs and prayer in Spanish.
Mrs. Zawilinski is a graduate of Ohio University.  She worked as a lay missionary with the Catholic Volunteers of Florida which introduced her to people of many different countries and cultures (and her husband).  She has many years of experience working with Spanish speaking people in the United States, most notably with migrant workers from Central America and Mexico.  She enjoys her life with her husband and three daughters and sings and plays her guitar when she can.
