  Biography

I am a proud Euclid High alum and a graduate of Cleveland State University. My degree is in history and secondary education. I minored in political science. I spoke for the right of 18 year olds to vote and marched in the first Earth Day.

I began teaching P.S.R. soon after I was married and continued doing so until my daughter graduated from Lake Catholic. I am a member of St. John Vianney parish.

I love teaching and sharing what I know and learning with and from my students. I worked for Willoughby Eastlake as a tutor for students who needed a bit of help. I also worked with students for whom English was a 3rd language. I did some sub teaching as well.

I began at St. Mary as a substitute teacher. This is my 6th year teaching Religion and Health to the junior high. I dress as many assorted people from history to make the lessons more real and connected. My goal is to help them use their faith in their lives. I want them to see it as a living thing that needs care and tending in order to grow.

I am a member of the peace group here at school, a Virtus trainer, and also a member of the book club. I write all the book reviews as poetry. I have been twice chosen to the Who’s Who of American Education and Professional Women. In 2006 I was chosen as one of the international poets of the year by the International Poetry Society.

I am married and have 2 children. I am a poet and have published a book of poetry. I collect teddy bears, love Oreo cookies, astronomy, reading, doing puzzles and I am an avid Beatles fan. (Yes, I saw in concert with my mom.) I love my students and love being with them. I consider it a great honor to be able to teach. I thank you for allowing me the privilege of doing so.
